Headstrong provides mobile outpatient therapy, wellness support, and caregiver coaching for complex neurologic, vestibular, cognitive, voice, and swallowing needs.
Navigate healthy aging for the brain and body or learn how to support a loved one through 1:1 coaching services targeting physical and cognitive needs.
Screening for in-home recommendations to maximize safety within the home, including balance and falls risk assessments and recommendations for appropriate medical devices to improve independence and safety.
Using evidence-based research including the CHOP, Levine, and Utah ADaPT protocols to provide specialized, structured exercise programs improving upright tolerance and independence. Speech and/or occupational therapy services can also address brain fog and symptoms of cognitive fatigue.
Comprehensive intervention targeting physical and cognitive challenges associated with chronic fatigue conditions, including reduced endurance, brain fog, word finding difficulty, headache, and limited activity participation.
Including functional movement, speech, swallowing, and cognitive disorders. We use a multidisciplinary approach to create a comprehensive plan of care.
Conditions include, but are not limited to, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Stroke, Parkinson's Disease (LSVT-BIG, SPEAK OUT!), Alzheimer's Disease/Mild Cognitive Impairment, Primary Progressive Aphasia, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), and Huntington's Disease. We provide family and/or caregiver education to maximize carryover at home. Ask about our group wellness classes.
Specializing in acute and chronic rehabilitation for post-concussive symptoms including headache, dizziness, neck pain, reduced exercise tolerance, and visual deficits. Services include autonomic, oculomotor, and orthopedic assessments, plus cognitive-communication assessment and treatment targeting memory, attention, executive functioning, and language skills.
Evaluation and treatment for Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV) through canalith repositioning maneuvers, as well as cervicogenic dizziness, PPPD, vestibular neuritis and labyrinthitis (hypofunction), and vestibular migraine.
Target vocal health and swallowing function due to a variety of conditions from nodules and muscle tension dysphonia to reflux, head and neck cancer, or stroke. Assessments include clinical swallow exam, acoustic-perceptual evaluation of voice, and aerodynamic assessment. Certified in the McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program, SPEAK OUT!, and Guardian Way neuromuscular electrical stimulation.

Hi, I'm Christina Pettet, PT, DPT, NCS
Dr. Christina Pettet has over 8 years of experience practicing within the neurologic and vestibular specialization. Christina is a Board Certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist (NCS) in Physical Therapy and holds an advanced certification in vestibular rehabilitation through Emory University. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from DeSales University, as well as her Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from West Chester University.
In addition to working for Headstrong Functional Therapy, Christina has served as a teaching assistant and adjunct professor at Temple University. Presented both locally and nationally at the American Headache Society, Mind Your Brain, and Penn Medicine. As well as, participated in research for long covid.

At Headstrong Functional Therapy we prioritize a team-based approach and person-centered care. We are a group of highly experienced clinicians with advanced certifications who have found greatest success when providers work together to treat the whole person. We view the client as an integral member of the team, allowing us to collaborate on and meet your goals.
We are a cash-based service with a flat rate per service without any hidden fees. A super-bill will be provided at your request to allow you to submit the cost/claim to your personal insurance for potential reimbursement. While we cannot guarantee reimbursement, we provide all documentation and receipts necessary to submit a claim. We recommend speaking to your insurance to verify any covered rehabilitation services.

Services can be provided virtually in Pennsylvania and New Jersey so distance is not a barrier.
